Tiwaar Academy uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, authenticate users, process payments, and improve your experience. This policy explains what we use and why.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in, secure your session, and understand how the platform is used.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security. Without these, the platform cannot function.
- Preference cookies: Remember your settings such as theme (light/dark), academy selection, and dashboard preferences.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the platform so we can improve it. We use anonymized, aggregated data.
- Marketing cookies: Used to show relevant content to visitors who have expressed interest. We do not sell data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Cookies and Services
Some features use third-party services that may set their own cookies or use local storage:
- Stripe: For secure payment processing of USD transactions (PCI-compliant). Stripe sets cookies for fraud detection and session security.
- Razorpay: For secure payment processing of INR transactions for India-based academies (PCI-compliant). Razorpay sets cookies for checkout security.
- Zoom: When you connect your Zoom account via OAuth or join a Zoom meeting link, Zoom may set cookies for authentication and session management.
- LiveKit: Our real-time video infrastructure for Tiwaar Web Conference. LiveKit uses WebRTC data channels and may store session tokens for live class connectivity.
- Google / Microsoft: For OAuth single sign-on and optional Google Calendar integration. These providers set cookies for authentication and consent.
- Video providers: YouTube, Vimeo, or other video hosts for external lesson playback and embedded content.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using the platform. Disabling analytics or marketing cookies will not affect core functionality. Payment-related cookies (Stripe, Razorpay) are required for secure checkout and cannot be disabled if you wish to process payments.
5. Cookie Retention
Essential cookies are deleted when you log out. Preference and analytics cookies are retained for up to 13 months. Payment provider cookies (Stripe, Razorpay) follow each provider's retention policy. You can clear all cookies at any time through your browser.
